Hi,
I am currently a sophomore at American University with a major in political science. I’ve seen the student tours on campus recently and hear the tour guides trying to sell the school, making it look as great as possible. I remember my tour a few years ago and was bothered by the fact that the guides were only discussing the positives of the school and omitting its weaknesses. It’s only fair potential students get a well rounded idea of what AU is like.

If anyone is interested, I am willing to give an “unofficial” tour of AU. I still think you should take the main tour as it provides a world of information about the school. Now I am not planning on bashing the school by any means. There are plenty of things I like about the school but also plenty of places where I see the possibility of improvement.

A little bit about myself. I just finished an internship in downtown DC at a lobbying firm, a very positive experience. I made Dean’s List last year and it looks like I will again this semester. I’m planning on going abroad next semester, most likely to Scotland. If you have any more questions, or would like to arrange a tour, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
