Hey everybody. My name is Joe, and I am a sophomore Musical Theater major here at CCM. I figured the easiest way for some of you to get information that is actually correct would be to ask someone who goes here, so here I am. Fell free to ask whatever you want to know. Hopefully I will have the answers that you are looking for. I’ll check back as much as I can, although this coming week might be a little sparse, as it will be tech week for Bat Boy. Other than that i will try to be around as much as i can. good luck with all your college choices.

Hi!
My audition is next weekend, and I've prepared four songs and three monologues... should that be enough. OH! And how long does the dance portion usually last, because my dance is scheduled for 9am and my voice/acting audition is at 10:15am

My D auditioned on-campus a couple weeks ago. All they ask for is 2 1-minute song excerpts, and one 1-minute monologue. So you have more than enough.

Hey, Joe! I'm auditioning on the 21st. Both the songs I'd like to use for my audition are from more contemporary shows. Will that matter as long as they are contrasting in style and tempo? Should I use something from standard rep...Rogers and Hammerstein...Cole Porter?

Hi there, I assume you put a lot of tought and planning into the college you are attending, well im going threw the same thing now
I want to get into a really great MT school, but finding information is hard and i havent been on any out of state visits (I live in WI)
What made u choose this school? What others did u consider? why did you turn them down? any sites or other places that are best to help me match up with the best MT school for me?
Thx a bunch!

joe ur not very helpful…

sorry been out of commission for a while here. is there somethin you need help with

ps, ill private message you answers… posting everything seems a little rediculous. esp if you want individual answers

Hi Joe! I know this post is from a while ago, but I hope you can still answer my question! I am a freshmen in HS, and CCM is my dream school! What can I do now, so that I will have a chance to get into CCM in a few years? Thanks!

Hi Joe, I actually was going to ask the same thing as leenaluvsu. So, I am a freshman in high school, and I just would like to know some tips for preparing now Thank you!

How can is start preparing as a sophomore? Song Suggestions for a Tenor-Baritone with sorta a belt.

I am currently a sophomore in high school. I really want to attend CCM and study Musical Theatre. To prepare, I have been taking ballet, tap, and jazz lessons as well as private vocal lessons. I also live near Shawnee State University and am heavily involved in their theatre department. I audition for every show they produce there and I’m cast in most. And when I’m not involved in a show there (mainly in the summer) I perform at my area’s community theatre. One of the most important things to have is experience, even in your high school. So, audition for everything you can and get in dance and voice lessons if possible.
