(I'm a Class of '09 applicant, but all of my applications have been completed and I've gotten into a few places. In other words, I'm not going to take your essay.)

If you want some constructive criticism on your college essay, I'd be happy to take a look. I have enough writing experience (four years of journalism, one as editor-in-chief, four years of honors/AP English, a few novels) to provide some helpful feedback, but I'm not going to sugarcoat things, either.

If this sounds good, feel free to PM me what you have.

Sorry to all who PM’d me their essay today–I had friends over and wasn’t able to get to them. Tomorrow is my first no-school day, though, so I should be able to look over them then.

Sorry again for all the delays! I have 11 messages in my inbox, so it might take a little time before I can answer everybody’s request. If your essay is due in the immediate future (i.e. next two days), please PM me or tell me here so that I can give it “priority status.”

Exactly! And speaking of which, Citybirds, Aftischer, Sak09 Priscizzzz, Anhtimmy, and Ronit, your essay comments should be in your PM folder. Next up are Humna, Cristina and Crunkk.

My private messages folder has now gone past the limit, so I might have to delete some old messages. I don’t know if the latest essays made it in.

Unless your essay critique is urgent (e.g. due by January 1), you might want to hold off for about a week until I can look at the 8+ essays in my PM inbox. Though I do appreciate the interest!
