Want the best start on my 7 aps next year!

Hey everyone, i took 4 aps this year and they all went ok but the feeling of unprepardness before each literally killed me. I have these aps next year

AP Gov
AP Micro
AP Bio
AP Cal AB
AP Physics ONLY E&M (Practically self studying this one so wanna do good)
AP English Literature
AP Statistics

Could someone please tell me what i can do starting today to ensure 4s and 5s on them all?

That looks a lot like my schedule for next year. In fact take away calc ab and gov, and you have my schedule.

Are you a senior?
Calc, Micro, Statistics- Nothing, they’re complete jokes. If self studying, minimal time required.
Lit- What I felt was that you should have a good knowledge of a few important works so that you can write at length on them on the last FRQ. Otherwise, just be good at reading comprehension (practice helps a bit)
Gov- Not sure. I’ve heard that it can be kind of hard, so I guess read up a bit on government over the summer.
Physics E&M- Not sure, but a physics textbook seems like it would be handy.
Biology- just memorize information. Start today, get a textbook or review book and just start memorizing.

Yeah man im going to be a senior lol. Thanks bro, I have classes for each but the physics teacher is lackluster and the bio teacher is decent. Anyone have any prep book suggestions?

Hey, I’m finishing up my senior year and I just took 7 AP exams (Gov, Macro, Calc BC, English Lit., Spanish Lang., Chem., Stats.) and I can tell you that it’s a bit tough but it’s manageable. To be honest, I studied a total of maybe 15 hours total for the AP exam.

AP Gov - This exam was the easiest I took out of all 7. Government is really straightforward, and there is very little memorizing to do. As long as you understand the concepts, it all flows together. This year’s AP exam was even easier due to the fact that there were no FRQs dealing with specific court cases. Did not study for AP.

AP Micro - While I did not take this class, I did take Macro, which I will assume is a similar difficulty level to that of Micro. Macro was just as easy as Gov., and again the concepts are very straightforward. There’s a bit of a failsafe in these kinds of courses, as you need to understand one concept before moving on to the next, and so on. Studied for 1 hour for AP.

AP Bio - Can’t help

AP Calc AB - Calculus itself is not hard. I took BC, and it was not hard. AB is a level down, so it definitely should not be hard. Studied BC for about 1 hour for AP.

AP Physics - Can’t help

AP English Lit. - Much easier than you’d think/expect. Especially the essay portion, since it’s just organic analyzing. While you can practice and improve your essay writing and APMC test-taking, I feel that Lit. and Lang. are courses that you can’t improve drastically by any amount of studying, as it really is a test of the English you’ve learned all your life. So no sweat here. Plus, on the night before the AP, you can rest since you can’t study/cram for it. Did not study.

AP Statistics - Way too easy. Laughably easy. At least IMHO.

AP Gov- AP US Gov, right? Prep book- use Barrons, I liked it. My teacher did nothing in this class, so I had to teach myself anyways, and got a 4. The Barron’s questions tend to be more difficult than the actual exam I think.
AP Cal AB- Barron’s book is more difficult than the exam, so if you want to do that, good.
AP English Literature- again, Barron’s is more difficult, but I thought it was more so that way than for the others I mentioned. The actual exam isn’t bad. Just have at least 3-4 novels you can use for the 3rd essay question.

Calc - I hear Princeton Review is good. I used an old book that I can’t seem to find on Amazon for this.
E&M - Princeton Review is sufficient.
Stats - Incredibly easy, but if you really have to, get Barron’s.

Here’s what I did.
Told myself I’d actually study my ass off for AP’s this year.
Bought review books in early January. I was so proud for not procrastinating for once.
Put off studying until Spring Break, read a page of Econ, and fell asleep. Review books remained untouched for the remainder of the week. (and month)
Took exams in May.
Looked for the review books I bought once exams were done to find them in mint condition! Excluding the cobwebs.

Senior lifestyle FTW

To answer your question (kind of) I bought Princeton Review for Econ, REA Crash Course for Gov and didn’t buy anything for Calc because my teacher gave us materials. Amazon reviews said those were the best, I have no opinion as I used none of them. Good luck!

Let’s see…

It depends on whether you have a strong math and science background because if you don’t, better start now. Besides AP Bio, which is like pure memorization lol.

Cant really help you on English Lit or Gov, haven’t taken em yet

AP Bio - CliffsNotes is your new best friend. You can definitely get ahead on this during the summer.

Cliff Notes… I Should try that out
