Want to apply to 2 more schools. HELP!!

Hi i live in new york so i applied to a bunch of schools in new york. I really want to go to school on the east coast somewhere warm. I really wanna go to college of charleston, i was accepted but am probably not going to get any money since i am out of state, so i want to apply to a couple more schools down south. Preferably private so i will get more money being an OOS. My gpa is 3.65/4 ACT- 28 SAT 1260/1600 1800/2400
I will be going pre med. It must be warm! thank you

Here are a few private southeastern schools you might look into where I think your stats could be such that you might get some merit money (look at deadlines for merit aid though):

Roanoke College, Queens U of Charlotte, U of Tampa, Stetson, Eckerd, Guilford, Berry, High Point U, Guilford, Warren Wilson, Guilford, Wingate

If you want something more competitive and a bit of a reach: Davidson and Wake Forest, if you qualify for financial aid.

Im looking for a school thats around 10,000 people… all the ones you said are way to small

Well Emory, Duke, or Vanderbilt would be real reaches.

U of Miami is a large school, but if you are looking for $$, it might not work out.

Ole Miss is $23,300 out of state. You’d qualify for a $6,000 / year Academic Excellence scholarship, bringing tuition, fees, room & board down to $17-18K. Its undergraduate enrollment is 14,000 and it’s in a beautiful, classic college town. Warm too. :)

Tulane, Furman, Elon, UNC Chapel Hill, University of Alabama, UGA, and Auburn University would all be worth applying to… Some would be reaches, others would be safeties. They vary in size greatly, too. I think Tulane (lowish reach) would be a GREAT fit for you, by the way(:

^^I agree about Tulane. UNC-Chapel Hill would be extremely difficult for admission. Furman is also a small school.

Do you need merit or need based aid.

I’d say Tulane, UMiami, Elon
