On Part 1 of my app, I listed my top academic interest as Economics. I now feel that this is a horrible representation of my academic interests and Comparative Literature is much more accurate. However, I already sent in Part 1. Should I email the ugrad-confirm address and ask them to change it? Or should I leave it as it is?

Oh! I was wondering this as well. If anybody had any input, it would be GREATLY appreciated!! I listed political science. tsk tsk tsk :/

Don’t worry about it. They are fully aware that a huge percentage of applicants change their interests over the first couple of years of college (and beyond). It simply does not matter.

if you really believe this is the case, please email columbia and let them know what are your three top choice majors in order. it wont make or break your application, but i think it is something that helps them read your application in a certain light. i have said on here a lot that students wanting econ are at a higher burden to prove they mean econ and not ‘business’ which columbia does not have. so it is to the OPs advantage to clarify his/her interests.
