I'm currently enrolled as a freshman in my state university in Connecticut and I hate it. I am staying a year so I have a better chance of getting in and I'm Striving for a 3.1 or higher. Since theres nothing to but course work here I think I can manage but what do I need? Recommendation letters or anything like that? Also I want to take business

can someone please help me?

???

For transfer students, the most important thing are the college grades. I suggest you go to the JMU website and read up on what is required and important for transfers. If you are seeking to transfer into the business school, you should know what the competition is. At some schools, it 's tough to transfer into certain programs and you might be competing with others already in the school for a seat in them, and if a 3.0 is a minimum requirement and a lot of kids don’t get accepted, you may not be competitive Do email or call the dean of the business school and find out what the profile is for a business major transfer if the website doesn 't have the info Look on some boards that are discussing JMU and how it works.

Are the finances in order for you to make this change?

And posting every three minutes doesn’t really help.

@cptofthehouse I called up for transferring its all the same requirements which is weird no? and 3.0 is like minimum for competition wise and sorry reins dad posted like 4 times before and no helped

Did it ever occur to you that the intricacies of transferring into JMU might not be anyone’s ken? Look at their site. Follow the directions and apply if you see a chance. Is affirmation from strangers going to make it so much better? Good luck but you’re asking for a very particular scenario.

Okay, I have nothing to offer about James Madison, but have to say this: You’ve been at your college for what, two weeks? How can you possibly know already that you hate it? You’ve barely started classes, clubs and organizations are just getting underway, you’ve hardly had a chance to make friends, etc. And if you think you made such a huge mistake in choosing your current school, what makes you think that with no more than a few weeks of college experience, you have a good basis to select another college? Good heavens, give yourself a chance, make the most out of first semester, and don’t think about this whole subject again until January. If your mind is on transferring all the time, you’ll never settle in and find your place at your current school. Just work hard, maximize your grades, and find some extracurriculars you like–these will serve you well whether or not you ultimately transfer
