Want to help a transfer and receive her undying gratitude?

Hi,
I'm currently a sophomore at a small, top 25 liberal arts school in New York. I'm looking to transfer to a larger university. Here's the deal:

I want to be a writer, and continue to sing as my hobby, perhaps be in a band. I plan to major in theatre. I'm looking for a larger university in a large city, with a good theatre program and a good music program I could take classes from. (preferrably no auditions, I don't have the time or money). I'm not really concerned about the quality of academics at this point, just the arts programs, and the last requirement is it must be cheap. For me this means either low tuition, or really good financial aid and/or merit aid (no loans, that's half the reason I'm transferring). I know I'm asking a lot, but can anyone help me? I'm from Ohio, so close to home would be nice too. Right now I'm considering OSU. Out-of-state is fine though, but not too far away.
Thanks so much, I will owe you all my undying gratitude.

Please help. I'm so desperate.

DePaul in Chicago.

thanks! any more?

Don't go to OSU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have alot of friends who went there for art and are now lost. OSU isn;t good at all at networking into the places that matter. My advice is a place like NYU.

Rutgers--- Mason Gross has a really great program. Very easy access to NYC, I'm not sure if you would call New Brunswick a city. Fits your criteria of a big school, though Mason Gross is quite small. I think you do need to audition though, wouldn't you need to everywhere?

Slipper's right though, NYU is tops for arts.
