Want to know your chances?

<p>sorry for keep asking, but by decisions are out, you don't mean they have already been mailed out do you? They will send them all out on friday? THANKS in advance</p>

<p>applying to college: 1580 and second in class of >300</p>

<p>Mario,</p>

<p>I am a bit confused. Are they mailing out on Friday or did they go out on Tuesday? You say "Decisions are out, as of Fri they are released at once [it is not as though they are segregated] and some will have them by the weekend, especially international applicants. average date of arrival should be the 15th."</p>

<p>If they get mailed tomorrow, most of us won't get them on the 15th.
Could you please clarify?</p>

<p>Thanks.</p>

<p>Hi, they were sent to the mail on Thursday. As of today, they are in the mail system on their way to you. International applicants should receive an email within 24 hours if they have not already. Sorry for the confusion. Good luck! I will have the stats for people who asked a little later. Finals are killing my soul. And the weather.</p>

Mario, not to add any pressure during finals time, but I noticed you've been using SAT scores when possible. I assume this is because your chart is based on the SAT. Although I think I already know the answer, just to put to ease the mind of myself and others, is this because Georgetown prefers the SAT? On a serious note, does Georgetown have an official ACT-SAT conversion chart you can share with us? Or is it just a general working knowledge of the readers?

[/quote]
</p>

<p>Well the reason is that the school got more SAT than ACT-only applicants. The chart is simply a statistical survey of what happened based on SAT scores -- there is also ACT information, just not as specific. The readers do not use a conversion chart and are knowlegable about what constitutes a good ACT score. It is important to know that they do not set to admit based on the percentages I am giving you! They do not have this chart in front of them nor would they want to. </p>

I really thank you for all your work
Just before our early results, I was just wondering when internationals get the emails
I'm international. Whether I'll get those tomorrow when all the other mails are sent out or after the weekend, it's just freaking me out.
I really appreciate your stuff here! This thread and all.
