Hi Mario!

I'm a international student from Sri Lanka hoping to apply to MSB. I have a lot of extra-curricular activities, social work and leadership in many of these activities (in one case, over a group of 8,000 + students). I also have achievements in the national scale. Some nagging things on my mind at the moment are;

1) 570 for the SAT II Math 1
2) I did only two subject tests.

I have also sent a supplemental application to the Department of Performing Arts. And I'm pretty confident about my teacher recommendations being good.

My scores are;

SAT - MATH-700, CR- 740
SAT II - World History - 700, Math 1 - 570
Top 10% in a High School class of 230 (In the toughest education system in South Asia)

Major : International Business

THANKS! :)

Hi Mario,
I'm starting the freak out process in my junior year. SFS is my top choice.

GPA: 3.6 or so, bombed my freshman year (3.3), am on the upswing now. Prestigious private school, does not rank, does not weigh grades; no AP courses offered because all courses considered "advanced." Electives show I'm a history/polisci/IR/writing geek.

Testing: have taken PSAT and practice ACT; have not prepped, plan to prep and take the real thing starting April:

PSAT: 22 (=2200 SAT)
R 750
M 630
W 650

ACT: 29

AP World History - 5

Gtown/SFS Legacy

Letters: will be very strong if go by what teachers have written into my file in past year about my geekdom, things like "out of all the students I have taught this is the best".....

Essays: should be strong, have gotten consistent high feedback on writing.

EC:
Model UN, international conferences starting 9th grade (selected to represent school)
Stagecrew
Jazz band
School paper

Is this possible? Any suggestions for what to do in summer to boost chances?

If Gtown is a long shot, any suggestions for other international relations places to apply?

I know this are going to be terrible stats, but just wondering....
