Want to switch colleges?

I am a transfer student, and I was admitted into ERC. ERC was one of my last choices because I am an engineering major. I know there must be someone out there who would be willing to trade colleges with me. My top two choices were Earl Warren, and Thurgood Marshall. There has got to be an engish, history, ect. major that would die to have ERC. Send me an email if you have Earl Warren or Thurgood Marshall, and maybe we can meet up and go down to the admissions office and switch. I think we both have to be transfer students to switch but I'm not 100% sure.

caveat: this approach will not work for freshmen

Here is a link to email me through college confidential for convenience purposes.

You cannot switch that way. I switched last year and the way they do it is that you send an email to admissions about wanting to switch college. Then you are put on a wait list and if there is another student who wants to switch to the college you don’t want from the college you want then you are able to switch. It’s random though, you cannot bring a friend and asked to switch with him/her. I know because I tried to do that and it doesn’t work.

@gaiou37 were you a transfer student as well or were you a freshman? because im looking to switch as well but i wanna make sure that it’s possible before I SIR. i will be an freshman.

I was a transfer student and it was last year. I have no idea if this can be done for freshmen

If you can prove that you will graduate 2 quarters sooner, is the only way they will approve this. Being that ERC dropped the MMW requirement to 2 from 3, and no upper div GE’s required this is going to be impossible. I would take this time to reflect on wring skills and be stoked that you have to take one less class now. at Muir or Marshall both require some sort of writing classes in there GE’s as well.
