Hello all. Last year was a dreadful senior year for me in high school. I applied regular decision to Cornell Engineering and I got rejected on the spot. Happens to everyone, I know, but this year I wanna give it another shot.

I currently attend SUNY-Binghamton (engineering major) and I can't stand it there. The place is boring, the people and professors are boring.

Well, here are my stats:
Freshmen year - 1st semester
Calculus II: A
Chemistry: A
Intro to Ideas & Politics (Political Science): A-
Exploring Engineering I (engineering class): B-
Technical Communications I (engineering class): B-

Total: 16 credits GPA: 3.6 (the two engineering classes are averaged as one)

Freshmen year - 2nd semester classes that I plan to take
Calculus III
Physics I, calculus based with lab
Exploring Engineering II (engineering class)
Technical Communications II (engineering class)
Some Anthropology class

Total: 16 credits Cummulative: 44 credits (I have 12 AP credits)

High School (Public):
GPA: 92.52/100 Weighted
Rank: 25 out of 383

Test Scores:
SAT I: CR-550 M-750 W-590 (essay-8 mc-60) Total-1890
SAT II: Math Level II-740 Physics-590 USHistory-570

I'm pretty sure my college GPA is good enough for Cornell Engineering. The Cornell Engineering transfer website recommends anything above a 3.0. As for my SAT scores, well, I think my verbal scores were part of the reason I didn't get in. I have scheduled to retake the SAT I in January. I hope to raise both my Critical Reading and Writing scores to at least 600 each.

So my question is what are my chances? Also, I'm an Asian-American male, so that'll definitely affect my chances. Don't forget that I also got rejected by NYU. Please, any feedback will be appreciated. I really want to go to Cornell.
