Im currently a community college student who wants to transfer to Baruch college (Spring 10) as a Psychology major. I have 3.15 GPA with 52 credits. Do I have any chances to get in? I heard that Baruch has pretty low acceptance rates and Im kind of worried that my chances are slim. I failed my Anthropology class but willing to make it up next year. ( I couldnt retake that anthropology class because our school did not offer it this semester..I dont why) Please let me know my chances to Baruch College. Thanks

Additional Info-

Did horriably in High school
My SAT score is 1180 out of 1600

I’m trying to find out the same thing as you…for some reason i can’t figure out how to post my own thing! I already applied and i’m so worried! I go to community college as well . I know that their mean gpa for fall 2008 for transfers was a 3.35 but obviously people got lower than that too , but idk its hard to tell with Baruch…

trust me dont do it if you can afford to go to one of the SUNYs like Binghamton or Buffalo, DO IT TRUST ME!! Most ppl are Baruch are not happy and other than academics, it really doesn’t have anything else to offer.

I completely agree with apitel. Although you will get into with a 3.5 you shouldn’t go. It really has nothing to offer other than a somewhat decent business program.
