<p>It really depends on the major you're going to list on your application.(Berkeley is the exception. It admits by division.) From my own experience--I was accepted to UCB, UCLA, UCSB, UCSC, and UCI as a Shasta College transfer applicant--most of the more selective schools are easier to get into than their reputations would have you think, provided that you have a 3.0-4 and above GPA, write good essays, and apply to transfer into a relatively unimpacted major or division.</p>
