Want to transfer to UCLA from UCSB for Fall 2012

I have a few questions.

1.) I just realized how soon I would have to apply for the Fall 2012. I would have to submit my application by November 2011 (this year), correct? That means I will be applying with pretty much the GPA I have after this spring quarter. Seems so soon as I am only a freshman..

2.) I plan on taking classes in the summer not at UCSB, but at a community college. How will this come into play for my application/admission?
Will I be able to take the GEs from the CC and use them to apply for UCLA?
In other words, if it counts at SB, does that mean it'll count at LA?

3.) I plan on applying as an Anthro major. There are few prereqs but they are listed somewhat vaguely on the website. For example: one course in sociocultural anthropology. How do I know which courses count for that? Is it on assist.org?

4.) Which should I stress about getting done first? The GE's or the prereqs? Which is more important to have done by the time of filing an application. I know I'll still have time to complete them after I've filed, but which should I for sure have done by November?

5.) On the transfer website it also said that they wanted the completion of the following courses by spring: two courses in English composition/critical thinking and writing, one course in math that has a prereq of intermediate algebra, and four courses in at least two of the following areas: arts and humanities, social and behavioral, physical and biological

Can my GE count simultaneously for these courses?
And when they say four courses in at least two areas, does that mean I can have one in the arts and three in the social and behavioral? Again, how can I tell if my courses are in these areas?

Thanks in advance for the time and effort

Why bother? The world is going to end by then.

yeah you submit your app this nov. but they will see your summer/fall grades soo work hard.

2./3. If assist.org can’t answer your questions then neither can i lol. wait for somebody else to answer

for ucla, i think you should try to have BOTH your pre-reqs and GEs done to have the best possible shot…but if not, then i vote pre-reqs

your ucsb GEs should really cover all that but then again, i’m just a ccc transfer… but i do know about UC reciprocity where if you complete your ucsb GEs, your ucla GEs will also be considered complete as well…but hopefully you already knew about that.
sorry i couldnt be more helpful :/
