Hey everyone, Im currently a freshman at UTD and Im feeling like this isnt the place for me and I really want to do ChemE at UT. I know that Cockrell only accepts for the summer or the fall, so im prepared for the extensive studying it takes to keep my GPA up. I got some questions.

Does my AP credits at UTD be counted towards my transfer credits?

What do you guy think i should do to prepare for the up coming year at utd, so that I can get into UT, such as extracurriculars and/or classes I should take.

I understand that I should take a 2 semester Calculus course before applying, but can i take a 3 semester course that i would finish in 2 semesters ( due to the fact that I already have the credit for the first semester of that course)

Any other advice for me in the coming year? Loopholes? such as apply for the spring semester as another major and see if I get and then change my major in the coming year?
Would that be a good idea? If I enter UT as a Chemistry major in the spring and also take classes over the summer, would I be eligible for a change of major? Thus beginning entrance to my major the beginning of my sophomore year?

I know there are a lot of questions but could some please give me their opinion on them, especially the last point I had.

THANK YOU GUYS.
