Want to turn in apps early but need to retake tests

I would like to turn in my Stanford app by October 1st, but the problem is that I'm retaking SAT2s in October, so the scores I send in with my commonapp will be my lower scores....and then when I do send in the "official" report from CollegeBoard, that will have the higher scores. My concern with this is that from what I've heard, Stanford, Harvard, etc. have regional admissions ppl who will quickly sightread an application and give it a YES or NO. If you get a YES, you move to the next step in the application process, which I'm assuming someone at the actual Stanford admissions office reads it. So, when do they do read my common app one and see my low SAT2 scores, I'm afraid they'll give me the NO, when actually, my official scores (which will have the scores I took in October) will be higher.....

Or does Stanford only START reading applications AFTER the November 1st deadline?

They only start reading after the deadline. There is no reason to turn in an application earlier than the deadline. Period. You won't get your scores back in time, so just put in the boxes on the common app that your scores are pending. They still have to get the official scores from the College Board before they will make a decision - so don't worry about it.
