Wanting some opinions regarding JHU BME ED and UVA SEAS EA

Hey, everyone! Just wondering if you could all offer your opinions regarding JHU and UVA. I am intending to apply for the BME program at JHU early decision and to SEAS at UVA early action. I am in-state for UVA. Public Health would be my alternative major if it seems that I am not a competitive candidate for BME. Thanks in advance for all of your help! Also, please feel free to provide any other suggestions regarding choices. Below are my stats and other necessary information:

SAT I: 2330 Superscore (790 CR, 800 Math, 740 Writing (12 Essay)); first time I got 2230 and second time I got 2170 (improved reading to 790)
SAT II: 800 Math II, 780 Chem, and 720 Bio-M
GPA: 3.99/4 UW; 5.01 W
Class Rank: at least 10/432
APs: AP Bio (5), AP Calc AB (5), AP English Lang (5), AP Stats (4), AP Chem (4), AP French (4), and AP Physics 1 (3-whoops!)
Senior Courses: AP Calc BC, AP English Lit, AP Computer Science, AP Physics C, AP Music Theory, and Honors Gov

Awards/Accolades: Nothing too extraordinary; some state and regional science fair wins (1st place regional, 3rd at states), NHS, all “A” honor roll, successful in triage @ Moody’s Mega Math Challenge, honorable mention in COMAP Math Modeling Competition, High School Mu Alpha Theta, French Honor Society, and won 2012 VA Geography Bee (represented VA at Nationals; did not place). I think I qualify for the AP Scholar thing this year.

ECs: Red Cross Club (founder/president), state junior academy of science (vice president; former editor in chief), Ecology Club (leader), Quiz Bowl (VP), research mentorship at local university, shadowing with physicians, tutoring for honor societies/writing center, SODA (Student Organization for the Development of Attitudes; we go to a local middle school to promote positive behavior), JV XC, and Debate Team

Volunteer/Work Experience: Volunteer rescue squad, hospital volunteer, Red Cross volunteer, tutoring, SODA, science museum, ecology club, and Engineering for Kids (Organization that helps low-income students explore their interests in Lego robotics and whatnot)

Other:
Financial Aid: Yes (not much most likely)
State: Virginia
School Type: Public Magnet
Race: Asian

I anticipate my recommendations to be pretty good as a I have good rapport with my teachers (teachers’ pet). Hopefully my essays will be fully cooked.

And again, thanks!

Sorry again
