I was an undeclared major my first year, unfortunately I did not do well in school because I had trouble balancing almost a full time job and full time school. Anyways, I'm in the UGS school and i found i wanna major in advertising. I took an advertising class and actually got an A in it since I was really passionate it about it.
I'm not working next year and am taking ADV 318J this upcoming semester and applying to the Comm school but i am completely discouraged because of my grades and I know it is so competitive.
I do have an internship as a PR and Advertising assistant and experience with Adv stuff and my GPA for the comm school is an A but my overall UT GPA is not impressive at all. Is it really super competitive and does anyone have any experience transferring to the Comm school?

I am sure you have probably looked into the requirement, but here is a page on the UT website that may be of help. Since you can only request a transfer twice in the first four semesters, I would choose my timing wisely, perhaps after you have gotten your GPA up. Also notice that you must attend a transfer meeting in September of this year. Best of luck!
