Wants a warm weather Florida school. Accepted at FSU applied at UF U Miami. Should apply to UCF?

Accepted at FSU with large Merit award. However, flights from NY are not as convenient and easy as they are to Orlando.
Considering applying now to UCF.
Didn’t hear yet from UF or U Miami. Accepted at 8 other schools including Binghampton Buffalo U Mass Amherst and Indiana Kelley. However, seriously thinking that warm weather is important. Heard the UF isn’t giving much money and U Miami is too $$$.
Do you think there would be a good chance of getting a good merit scholarship from UCF if application will go out in the next few days?

Also academically is UCF considered a good school ?

UCF offers good merit scholarships, but it’s getting late, you need to apply soon while funding is still available.

It’s known more for it’s engineering program, but since the 70’s it’s expanded into one of the largest universities in the country. Ranking wise it’s on par with schools like Texas Tech, University of Idaho, University of Louisville, University of Maine, etc. It’s not as highly rated as the other school you’ve been accepted/applied too, but for some majors, such as engineering it’s very competitive.

Yes. I kind of know it’s ranking. How good is it for computer science? Alternate major to business.

CS is very good at UCF. For example, the Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition Team has won the national competition two years in a row.

UCF also requires that undergraduates pass a Foundation Exam. This makes CS one of UCF’s most selective majors.
