Any ideas on schools?

p.s. Education as a major :) ...........

How about Elon in NC?

What else do you want beside warm weather? Private school? Large school? Big sports place? Small town? Large city? South, SE, SW US? Christian school? Price considerations?

Some ideas:

In California, University of Redlands, Loyola Marymount, Santa Clara, Mills (if female), St. Mary's College of California, Chapman University, Concordia University, Point Loma Nazerene, Azuza Pacific

In Florida, Eckerd College, St. Leo College, Rollins College, University of South Florida, Univ of Miami, Stetson, Flagler

In Missisippi, Millsaps College

In Georgia, Berry College, Mercer

In Louisiana (New Orleans), Loyola University

In Arkansas, Hendrix College

In Alabama, Birmingham Southern, Auburn

In South Carolina, the College of Charleston, Clemson

In North Carolina, Guilford, Elon

In Oregon (not quite as warm but warmer than say...the midwest), Willamette, Linfield and the University of Portland

In Texas, Southwestern U and Trinity (kind of reachy but realistic if SAT scores are good), Texas Christian University.

I'll second the vote for Florida schools. I was accepted to Eckerd, it's a great school right on the ocean. I visited Flagler also and it's a wonderful little place. I've heard good things about Rollins. Miami would be a nice reach. Tulane University, in New Orleans, has terrific academics if you want another reach school. Not sure about your stats tho.

thanks for the suggestions - I'll check them out. I'd like a medium size school (about 4-5000 would be ideal I think), with friendly, non-competitive kids, not too big on sororities/frats, near the shore would be great, not in the middle of nowhere, about 25k if possible.
A friend mentioned Coastal Carolina too, but I don't know too much about it ...
