hey guys do any of you know any LACs worth attending in warm weather areas besides the Claremont colleges? I'm looking at like Cali, Arizona, Florida areas.

I applied and am most likely going to Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA.

New College of Florida.

Eckerd College and Rollins College in Florida; Trinity in Texas.

Pomona
Davidson
Claremont-Mckenna
Harvey Mudd
Scripps
Occidental
Sewanee
Pitzer

Adding to and compiling the suggestions:

CALIFORNIA
Claremont consortium
Occidental
Santa Clara (small university)
U Redlands (small university)

FLORIDA
Eckerd
New College of Florida
Rollins

GEORGIA
Agnes Scott (if female)
Oxford (2 year college of Emory)

NORTH CAROLINA
Davidson
Guilford

SOUTH CAROLINA
Furman
Wofford

TENNESSEE
Rhodes
Sewanee

TEXAS
Rice (small university)
Trinity U

also Hendrix, UNC Asheville, Warren Wilson, College of Charleston (small uni)

Rice, Davidson, Wake Forest, William & Mary would be the best in the South.

Be aware that, at best, Rice straddles the research university/LAC “distinction” at best. I would consider it a research university given the nature of the school, but it does indeed have a well-pronounced LAC atmosphere.

oregon schools?
or is that still too cold

USF St. Petersburg > Eckerd
