WARNING: Throw out mail that says "College Aid"

I recieved a letter in very official packaging that read “FOR IMMEDIATE ATTENTION OF PARENTS AND STUDENT. COLLEGE AID DOCUMENTS ENCLOSED.” It even has a whole set of “official” registration numbers printed on it, etc. It’s a scam. You fill out this out and give them $39.95 for them to spam you. It’s not an official college aid document. Just thought I’d share.

Yeah I got one of those also. Two actually... one to me, and one to an imaginary person named Ashlee with my same address.

Don't use any financial aid you haven't sought out yourself...anyone just mailing stuff willy nilly usually isn't such a great deal

completely agreed...watch out for national honor roll/society stuff, too...and scholarships where you have to pay a fee to even apply

who's who is a scam. most people don't know that.
