Since there are only 20 students in the entire seminar, I'm guessing it's much more intense than the regular Warren writing course. Is it difficult to do well in the class? Is it worth participating in - helpful for the future?

I attended a Muir scholars seminar during my first year. It involved listening to researchers present on the work they’re conducting and a Q & A session at the end. I’m not certain if Warren’s seminar is the same, but there’s a high probability that the seminars are similar. If you are interested in learning more about research you might find it interesting and worthwhile. If I were you I would check out a session before making the decision to keep or drop the class.
