Warren for Linguistics! (:

I got into Warren for Environmental Systems - Ecology, Behavior, and Evolution. D: First choice school, second choice major. Oh well.

umm no, there’s only 5 suites on each floor, with 3 suites on the second to last floor and 2 suites on the last floor.

yes Warren is the best.

yes, warren is the prettiest.

it’s kinda far from some classes but eh, i never found that to be a problem. walking is good for you. library and price center are close though, so no worries there.

warren writing sucks but so do the other college writing programs. it’s just something you have to do.

Earl’s Place is the bomb, pool is close by, we got sand volleyball courts, basketball courts and a nice lawn for you to throw a ball around, or a frisbee.

you’re gonna love it, as long as you’re social and try to meet people.

Warren for Chemical Physics

I hope someone can help me with this –

Got admitted Warren – EE major.

Is Warren GE plan flexible enough to allow me to use them to complete PRE-med requirements. These boil down to possibly three course in Biology, and Three in Chemistry. Physics and Math are already covered in the EE MAjor which I plan to complete anyway.

You can find your four year plan for your major here: https://aventeur.ucsd.edu/public/student_four_year_plans/?currentCollege=WA

You will already be required to be taking Physics and Math, as you already said, But it seems as though you may have to take extra classes in the summer each year for the Biology and Chemistry courses because you won’t have time to take them during the academic school year. You also need to have an Area Study outside the Math/Science field, like Social Sciences or Humanity, so there goes your time for other classes.

Clarkfobes: Do you know of any instance when the academic advisors in warren have worked with students to create a GE plan that meets their interest rather than forcing them to stick with AOS in Social science , humanity.
Should I try to get into some other college ( Revelle?)

@greenfield: No, the academic advisers do not create a personalized GE plan for students. The GE’s are so that can take classes outside your major and add a little diversity, hence, towards a life in balance. Warren is the BEST college for your EE major because the GEs for engineers are easier as compared to all the other colleges. If you even try to transfer to Revelle…which would take a year…you have even more GE’s and probably take more time to graduate…

Warren is the best for engineering majors. Don’t even think about transferring to Revelle.

I was hoping that they would consider a request to move to Revelle before I even join as a freshman. The Revelle GE plan is still not clear but it looks like they have some track for those who to do Pre-med and Pre-law.

^Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Number 1 you can’t, number 2 that’s an absolutely terrible idea. You’d be taking way more GEs at Revelle. Sometimes I think the only thing the college system is good for is confusing the hell out of people.
