I am a freshman going to ucsd at Warren, and as I was looking at the housing application, I was wondering if the residential halls at Warren have doubles?

I believe Warren reslife said that next year, the triples will be converted back to doubles, but don’t my word on it.
If not, there will be a FEW rooms with doubles.

I’ll actually be an RA for the Warren res halls next year, so pleased to meet you! I haven’t heard anything about converting all the triples into doubles next year from Res Life. I personally don’t see why they would do that, but I some people have heard that (or claimed to have heard that), so I guess it could be true. There currently are very few doubles. Most of the suites are four single rooms and two triple rooms. Was there any reason in particular you were asking about doubles?

Yeah I was asking for doubles because I didn’t really want to be in a single, and I feel that I might get a little crowded for a triple, so yeah. lol. But I mean if there are few rooms of doubles, i’m thinking of maybe putting a triple for my housing application? I’m not so sure yet

If you want a double, put down double anyways, you might get it. I was one of the few in warren who ended up in a double, that year i only heard of 2 other suites who had doubles, so it was pretty lucky.

Oh okay. May I ask, what floor were you on with doubles?

Also, I was wondering if I put down double and I don’t get it, would I be moved to triple?

First floor, we were told it was probably because the resdean lived under us in the basement, but she never really bothered us.
No idea on the second question, ask housing?

oh further explanation on the first statement: she wasn’t a fan of us running around loudly, she called security on us twice in the first quarter just for running. So we thought that was why we ended up with less people in the room than usual, less noise? But later in the year she didn’t bother us at all, even when we held parties.

I put down double last year and was given a triple. The same happened to my friend. I don’t know if this is the trend for all people who want doubles but aren’t given one though! I’ve known people who were given singles when they wanted triples and had to contact reslife.
