Can someone explain the PofC system for Warren GEs. are they seperated to only 3 categories? if i wanted to double major in communiations and vis ats, would i still have to take a PofC, after fulfilling the requirements for the majors?

if your major is biology, it is under the science category.

you must then take 6 classes from humanities and 6 classes from social science. if you double major, I think it just takes your first major, but I am not sure. I dont think it should matter if your majors are cross disciplined, you are still fulfilling the required class #

What about for engineering majors in Warren? Is it something like area of focus? Could someone explain that (explanation on Warren handbook isn’t very clear)?

area of studies are the same thing. you pick subjects in areas different than your major and take 3 classes instead of 6

[Academic Requirements](http://warren.ucsd.edu/prospective/academic_requirements/index.php)

For Engineering, B.S. only, two Area Studies are required. Each must contain three, 4-unit courses (total of 12 units), at least two of which must be upper-division. Please note: for students entering before fall 2009, only one course must be upper-division

whats the easiest PofC under the Natural Sciences, Math & Engineering category? I’m thinking “Science and Technology”

Also, what are some easy and mild classes under the Humanities/Fine Arts and Social Science Pofc?

I forget if it falls under humanities or social science, but Ethnic Studies has some pretty easy classes. If you just write what they want, you’ll usually get at least a B.

If you double major in vis arts and communications, you only have to do a PofC in the sciences. And yes I recommend Science and Technology, it’s the easiest one, plus, I got credit for 2/6 classes because of my AP Physics score.

If you double major and both your major fall under the same category, you still have to do a PofC from each of the other 2.

For engineering it’s the same concept except you do 3 classes instead of 6. it’s not that hard to figure out.
