Hoping on going to BU. In case I do go I just wanted to find our more about the dorms. I would like to major in Polisci so that would mean I would be going to the school of arts and sciences. Which dorm would be better for me? Btw I also like to work out.

I went to a summer program at BU last year and stayed in Warren for 2 weeks. It was a quick ride on the T to FitRec on the west (?) side of campus, which was nice. It’s also right in the center of campus too so that helps. It’s an older dorm…pretty basic and not the nicest I have seen. But, it’s really not bad. It’s also nice to have the dining hall in the same building. I have heard it’s a great dorm for freshmen because of the community that is there. I don’t know anything about West but if working out is a concern, it really doesn’t matter much since the T gets you there quickly from Warren.

Warren is more centralized to all programs, and West is closer to Fit Rec and has better food. All depends on your priorities!

I would say live in Warren. Walking to West for Fitrec isn’t a big deal especially since you’ll be going to work out anyways. I think the bigger priority distance wise should be based on your classes being closer to Warren as a polisci major. If you end up in an 8 or 9am, you will not want to wake up earlier on the cold rainy late fall morning to walk across campus to class. Also, living in Warren will allow you to stop back at your dorm during any short class breaks too.

Warren would probably be best, not that you have much choice now since surveys are being processed/assignments will be out at the end of the month. It’s a 10 min walk to the Fitrec and food is not that bad at Warren, though it’s not as great as West.
