I was accepted way back in the fall on line (Top 10%) but never received anything by snail mail. Was there anything important that I might have missed with sail mail? I've done everything they've asked on line ($, dorms, $, orientation, $) and visited in person with a freshman advisor not long ago. With everyone asking about big and little envelopes, well, I was just don't want a big surprise later.

Last year, my son was initially accepted into UT (top 10%), but he did not receive his letter until well after he was accepted into his major -around March I think.
He was frustrated because he wasn’t offered a housing contract until he was accepted into a program, even though he knew he’d be at UT. It worked out fine though -he loves being in Jester since it is the hub for lots of activity.

Thanks. Just as long as there’s not an “oops, our computer can’t find you” at the last minute.

Have you been accepted into a major? If so, I bet your letter was just lost in the mail. It wouldn’t hurt to contact admissions. Some scholarships ask you to send them a copy of your acceptance letter before they send funds, so you do want to have a hard copy (and save it).

Yikes, hadn’t thought of that.

my son got 4 letters in snail mail in the following sequence

UT General Admission (late Oct,09)
McCombs Admission(late Jan,10)
BHP admission(late Jan,10)
Plan II admission(early Feb, 10)

First 2 were reflected in the on line status but not the BHP or Plan II admission.
BHP & Paln II came in big envelope and the BHP one literally says it is “Big Envelope”

Ok, they are mailing it out.
