I'm curious if anyone was rejected or knows of someone who was rejected. Or was everyone who wasn't accepted put on the waitlist.

I only know of one (a friend of a friend). All the rest have been waitlisted.

Because of the self selectiveness of CC, you'll be hard pressed to find someone who was rejected. As someone who was rejected to another school in the ED round, I can tell you that posting the fact that you were rejected is extremely hard to do, especially when loads of other people are so excited about being accepted. Usually, people just quietly leave the college's forum.

I was put on the WashU waitlist. Unlike a lot of people, I am beyond happy about it. I know what it is like to be rejected from your first choice school, and WashU became my new first choice in the RD round. I don't know how I would have handled that sort of rejection again.

I posted this on the wrong thread. It was originally on the "I" thread, but I took it off, and have decided to put it here.

I think I may be posting the first rejection. My cousin (24 ACT, URM, applied for financial aid, from Chicago,Ill) was rejected. :( She is kind of like the sister I never had, but she always feels the need to compare herself and have competition with me. I know that she will ask me whether or not I was accepted, but I don't want to break her heart (I have been accepted).

From my high school's D two were rejected (out of three that applied). My friend's S was rejected (36 ACT 2380 SAT but just a few extracurricular activities, NY area). None of those kids are (like us) CC fans.

Also, most of this people on this site lie. I would bet that at least half of the users who say they got accepted, or even waitlisted, lied about it to save their internet egos.

I know people at my school got rejected, but not many. The vast majority were waitlisted, and there was one acceptance.

aac, I kind of doubt that. If you look at other RD decision threads, a good chunk of people post rejections. Maybe WashU just really didn't reject that many CCers. It happens, I'm sure.

well, I really wasn't rejected lol
i don't know anyone in real life who was, either, unless they are lying

I don't think that they have sent out all the rejections, yet. Let's see what happens tomorrow. My D spoke to a friend of hers who said he did not have any notification (positive or negative). Does it say anywhere that everybody has been notified? Maybe that's why there seem to be so few rejections. There should be about 18,000-they didn't put that many on the waitlist.

It's online, so everyone should know by now.

yea, some people just dont know their stuff is online (not CC kids, but others)

haha I bet you're right that some people lie. I don't really know why though -we're all anonymous and on the internet. Who cares?
