I figured I would take the chance, if Casey Anthony got aquitted murder free than why not try to get into Harvard. If you look at a previous post from a while back I posted stats and stuff. I spoke about my freshmen year and how I did poorly.

I applied to a bunch of selective schools including harvard, but maybe I should have focused on more reasonable schools? I haven't really found that one school I am in love with besides Harvard, and I am sure everyone on this site pretty much feels the same way.

Well if you already applied, there’s nothing you can do about it. Hopefully you spent enough time on other schools… but good luck!! :D

Yeah I know, I figured a lottery chance I guess. I applied to some schools I know I will get into, I just dont like them lol.

Harvard itself? Not a mistake. Your whole application strategy, though…any chance you can add a school you have a reasonable chance of getting into last minute? Some schools don’t have their deadline tomorrow, or maybe one you do like and isn’t quite as high a reach as Harvard (! high reach for anybody) does have its deadline then, but doesn’t require any extra essays beyond what you’ve already written?

I kind of applied to a lot of schools. I could tell you all the schools I applied to if you want in a message, but I just want to go to a school with the best academics. I really don’t want to end up at one of my safety schools. Sometimes I am in denial about everything, but being realistic isnt fun, its nice to dream The problem is, is that I don’t know if you schools I applied to were realistic, I just hope I get into one decent one off my list.

Schools are not all about academics. You can go to the most academically prestigious university in the entire world, but if it is not for you, you can easily end up depressed and drop out. Going to a slightly worse school that is perfect for you is better for not only yourself, but the school as well. Don’t kid yourself. Schools are more than their acceptance rates.
