<p>So I was going to transfer but that school was too expensive and I want to go to my old school this fall. I tried enrolling in classes and I was successful in doing so. Now all I have to do is get the financial aid thing squared away. I went to my old school last semester so it is not like I did a year at a different school. So I guess what I am trying to ask is what is this process usually like? Is it likely I'll get financial aid? etc. </p>

<p>I have no experience in the area, but I’d assume you’d be fine, as there was no guarantee you’d be accepted to your target transfer school, so you should be fine remaining at your old school. Others may have better advice, but it’s best to contact your school in case its policies differ from others’ experiences. :)</p>
<p>OP, did you apply for financial aid? Did you meet the deadline? I can’t imagine financial aid is guaranteed if you did not apply by the designated deadline set by the school even if you got it last year.</p>
<p>Did you list your old school school on your FAFSA? What type of aid are you expecting? It will make a difference if its Federal money or school money. Did you fill out all of the required FA forms for your school?</p>
<p>All of the above questions are essential. You had better call your financial aid office immediately and find out what they have for you and what they still need from you. For Federal funds like Pell and Stafford that are pretty much automatic, you are unlikely to have issues, but if you did not complete the necessary forms for any other awards such as Perkins, SEOG or school money, you could well have lost out. Your college financial aid officers are the only ones that can address and remedy any such issues. Call ASAP></p>
