Hello all...Now that we have all applied to our respective schools, I was wondering what the CC community thought of what I did/am doing...

So after I graduated high school, I went to UCSB. First quarter, I got an A-, A-, and B+ [12 quarter units = 8 semester] in general ed classes [no history courses]. In the middle of second quarter, it became obvious to me I did not/could not stay at UCSB, so I withdrew, as a result getting 3 W's, again in general ed classes [no history courses]. So...I went to community college, where, after just getting my grades this afternoon online, have 47.5 semester units of Community college transferable classes so far completed with a gpa of 4.0. Added to the UCSB classes, I have 55.5 semester units under my belt, 47.5 at CCC, 8 at UCSB. I also have passed AP Bio and AP World History with scores of 3 and 4. Now the next important thing to mention is my major I chose in my application for transfer. I transferred as a history major, and assist.org says for UCLA i need 3 specific history courses and for Berkeley I need 4. I have completed so far 5 history courses [with 4.0 gpa], having already satisfied the assist.org requirements for both UCLA and Berkeley. I have also, as of today, completed the IGETC requirements for UC's. Next semester [spring] I am taking 19.5 units [2 more history classes as part of those 19.5] just to make my overall application as competitive as possible. Now...to my question!...

I ONLY applied to UCLA and UC Berkeley.

Am I being overconfident in only applying to UCLA and Cal? I'm leaning toward going to UCLA, but in the end, would be entirely happy going to either school. After extensive research, based on average gpa admittance for history transfers to the two schools, admittance trends for the two schools etc. I believe I will most certainly get into at least one of the two. But that is me, I really want to hear what the CC community thinks about my decision. Thanks a lot!
