I applied as a transfer student with 60+ credits for Fall 2009. SAT scores and high school transcripts were still required. I had a terrible 930 SAT score(old standard). My college GPA was a 3.4....high school was a 90 but an 83 counting only the major courses like English, etc. I applied to one of the most competitive fields at Emerson which is Film Production. My film was weak according to admissions. I got waitlisted. Do you think I was lucky to be waitlisted especially with my SAT score? I don't know if I should be shocked or what....

as I said in my other post. I am a transfer student into WLP (less competetive, I know), i got accepted, I came in with a 3.3 GPA, 90 credits in Community college over 4 years, a GED, No SAT, and a dismal (1.6 GPA) high school record.

Waitlisted is good.

Its better than rejection anyday of the week. I made it in without the most stellar record, so it shows that its not grades as much its a commitment to the arts. They saw something they liked, now just hope someone chooses another school and see it as a positive no matter what =)
