Was it a good decisionokay to turn down WSU for WWU?

<p>I recently turned down WSU - Washington State University - because of its location in Pullman, WA, which is literally in the middle of nowhere between wheat fields.
I felt like I could not be happy there.</p>

<p>I'll attend Western Washington University instead which is in Bellingham, WA, and closer to home as well as in a better location.</p>

<p>Both of these schools are located in college towns and I felt like I could be happier at Western but I really wanted to hear your guys' opinions on this.</p>

<p>I’m not sure how this is related to UW, but I think you made the right decision. Location is actually a pretty important factor as far as college choices go, so if you chose the one that appealed to you more then I guess that’s good. </p>

<p>I do have to say though, schools in the middle of nowhere tend to have great parties on the weekends because not as many people commute.</p>

<p>Exactly what I initially thought.</p>

<p>But this is the dilemma I would have gone through had UW not accepted me. WSU is a better ranked school and I guess is held in a higher regard in comparison to WWU, but I would have chosen WWU because of location.</p>

<p>According to what ranking? I always thought Western was better. It has a lower acceptance rate I’m pretty sure.</p>

<p>And WWU has a higher acceptance rate than WSU, btw.</p>

<p>^ No it doesn’t. They both accept about the same rate. Around 73%.</p>

<p>No, it doesn’t…just barely, but Western’s at about 72 while Wazzu is at 76</p>

<p>WSU > WWU imo, you could have gone to a satellite WSU campus if that worked</p>

<p>I would have done the same thing. Something about WSU really makes me dislike it, but I’m not sure what. Lol.</p>
