Was it a joke?

I think I got into Harvard... the e-mail was from college@fas.harvard.edu. When I tried to log into the admitted students website with the pin number sent to me earlier in January, it says incorrect pin. I have a common enough last name that a lot of other people with my last name probably got in. Someone please tell me that this is the e-mail that you received your decisions from.

Yep. I also have the sheer luck of having a common last name, but my e-mail came from that address as well. The website says admitted students can't log in until the 1st of April. Would the Harvardians on the mount really play such an April Fool's joke?

Yep it is the same email address.
You can't log in until tommorow when you get your new pin.
Congrats!

Oh, okay. (sigh of relief). I saw that April 1 thing on the bottom of the page, but for some reason, it just never registered in my mind.

Try putting a '6' or other number in front of your current PIN and see if it works...when I got in EA, my new PIN was just my old one with a '6' in front...

i called my interviewer and said thank you today. Except.. she preempted me and the first thing she said was congrats! so she knew before! but she said she wasn't allowed to contact me until tomorrow! so its not a joke folks!
