Was my app late?

I know that I shouldn't have waited until the last minute to send in my app, but... there you go. My situation:
- from CA, so I follow by PST
- applying EA to Stanford, whose postmark date is 11/01
- submitted app at 11:52 PM (EDT) on 11/01, which is only 09:52 PM (PST) on 11/01
- download date on CommonApp website reads 11/02, but my the pdf (the one that appears after you click the download date) reads 11/01/2008

I'm so beyond confused. I thought that the postmarked due date meant that I could submit my app ON Nov. 1, not BEFORE Nov. 1. What exactly did this postmark deadline actually mean? And am I completely screwed over for life? p____p

I think downloaded means the school downloaded onto their system (or that common app sent it to the school) on that date. You made the submission date. =)

congrats! party w00t!

You're fine. The school downloaded it 11/2.:)

Oh yay that makes me feel so much better! :) Thanks!

But you did procrastinate. :P haha, have fun and good luck, im in the scea pool as well.

Oh man, I had the same problem. I submitted it around 11:30 eastern time and it said "Submitted: 11/1", but they didn't download it until around 1 AM so it now says "Downloaded: 11/2".

Haha, yay... that was bad on my part, but at least it's in.

Stanford '13, guys! Or '14 coterminal.

as long as it was sent in before midnight (college time), you're good.
