Was My PSAT a Fluke?

I took the PSAT my sophomore year with a score of 191 (65 CR, 66 M, 60 W) and thought I was off to a good start. This summer I've been doing practice SAT's and studying for PSAT and SAT. On both of my practice tests I got about 1500. I'm using the SAT blue book from College Board. Does anyone have a way to explain my low scores other than that my PSAT was a fluke?

I think the PSAT is supposed to be a little easier than the SAT, since it’s administered to sophomores rather than juniors/seniors. At least, that’s how I remember it.

PSATs are generally easier in comparison to the SAT (notably on the math sections) and also they’re a lot shorter meaning you’re less fatigued while taking the entire test.
Also there’s no essay so maybe you just bombed your essay on the SAT?

Hard to say. A 191 is a likely a top 10%. Have you been a top 10% scorer in prior national standardized testing like Aims? If so then the 191 is likely legit.
