<p>They have space for 2,000 but will admit much more than that. Everyone who is accepted is not going to Northwestern.</p>
<p>This year applications were up significantly across the board so as a result acceptance rates are declining. I believe for NU it was up some 10%. Also, don’t forget that they don’t only accept 2,000 spaces (or whatever the actual number is). They have to accept more since accepting 2,000 would only work if a school had a 100% yield.
