were all your teachers on there? is it worth the 10 bucks (i think) a year?

I use ratemyprofessor.com...it's free and pretty much all mine were on it.

No, because BC has PEPs.

Pick-a-prof is free for me, I think my school covers the fee. I like how it shows how the professors graded.

Definitely worth it.

More in depth reviews than rate my professor on the professors, and the grade distributions.

You can see grade distributions for the teacher. The teacher in a particular class. And even if you don't see the teacher, you can see the class in generals grade distribution.

It can be amazing looking at the grade distributions. I aced one class, and found it amazingly easy. But only 15% of the class got A's, and 23% got a D or F.

Where does pick-a-prof get the grade information from? Are the grades reported by the student users or do they have a more statistically reliable source?

They get the grade reports straight from the universities.

They don't have my school. =(

What's up with the super short list for NY?

Why do universities report these statistics to a commercial website???

They don't have my school, either.

it's def worth the 10 bucks.

Isn't it free???

It's not free, but it's definitely worth the money. Has helped me out in many occasions.

ok...i guess i should sign up before orientation...you do get to pick teachers during orientation right? (i'm goin to ut austin)

I didn't go to Texas, but I was close to. I remember them saying that you pick your classes as freshman when you come for summer orientation.

It's worth ten bucks, because a high GPA is worth much more than that. That assumes that instead of taking classes that 'sound fun/interesting/intellectually engaging' you take ones that have favorable grade distributions.

sometimes more important than buying books for a class. definetely worth it.

pickaprof.com is seriously the best site out there if your school has it. i actually cross-reference between it and ratemyprofessor... great websites

pick a prof is useful, but it doesn't have all the professors on it so it might suck sometimes when you're trying to decided between two classes that are the same but have different professors.

Strange you had to pay $10, my pick a prof was free =)
