I got a 750 on the May Writing section (12 essay, 3 wrong, 0 omitted) and I was wondering if you guys think that this curve was harsh? In the past I've read people get the same stats on me in this category and they get 800's. Thanks.

that is odd. i got 790 with 12 E 2 wrong 0 omit in march

I think that is normal, because i took the march sat and with a 12 E and 3 wrong i got a 760. So im pretty sure thats normal?

I got 3 wrong, 9 essay 700… so yea curve was bad…

In January I got 2 wrong, 10 essay 770.

Curve was horrible! I got 4 wrong and 7 essay and got 630… If I had gotten a 10 on the essay, that would have been around 680-690… very very harsh!

Yup, you would have gotten a 680-690. LOL. I got 3 wrong and 2 omits with a 10 essay. Score: 690. Oh, well. I don’t really care. I still have a bit more time. I’m only a sophomore. Hehe. >=))

Secret Asian Man, my son did exactly the same as you, except on the May test - 2 wrong and a 10 essay and scored 750, so obviously the curve in May was more harsh. Actually he was quite happy, because on his previous attempt, he had scored 650.

12 Essay 3 Wrong = 800 for me.

bigb, which month did you take the test in?

Hmmm I took mine in May 09.
800. Essay 11, MC 80.

Oh damn, it looks like the curve was nonexistent!

Took it in May 09

10 essay, 0 wrong, 0 omitted = 800

9 on essay,0 wrong…790
i think the multiple choice questions were easy,so they were strict.

141113 is right, the multiple choice questions were more strict than the essay, I think. I only had a 9 on the essay, but I had 740 overall because I had two wrong MCs. So yeah, curve was really harsh.

Yeah I took it in May; got a 740 with a 12 essay and 4 MC wrong, 0 omits.

the may test was extremely harsh…
unreasonable
i got 4 wrong and then essay:8 got a 660
damn i hope i did better in the june test, that would really give me a chance to get a 2300 if i got a 740 for writing or something
