<p>But I'm confused about the numbers. The letter says: "You are one of a select group of students chosen from more than 23,000 applicants for our class of 1,400."</p>
<p>That puts the admission rate at 6%....</p>

<p>Btw, I would not have known if it wasn't for CC. They never sent me an email notification.</p>
<p>It says they have 1400 SPOTS in the freshman class. Their yield rate is only about 30%, meaning 70% of the people they admit will turn them down for other schools. Therefore, in order to get 1400 kids that will attend, they have to admit more.</p>
