Wash U or U of Toronto???

Ok, here's my friend's situation, he applied both for premed, and he's hesitated to go . But he seems going with his parents' idea, because he is canadian, it's a lot cheaper to attend U of T....

here's wht I think, ohh my goshh,,, lots of smart kids compete each other and try to attend Wash U, one of the top Unis in America.. and U of T? even though it's 'no.1' in Canada, it's requirement is like, GPA 3.0, and SAT 1150...U of T is just so so so overpopulated...

so wht do u guys think? money or better education? (it's only undergraduate)

Better Education, go to Wash U.

I've been accepted to both too, and as an international U T is way cheaper, 1) because their fees are cheaper & 2) the canadian dollar is cheaper, though the US dollar is dropping too.

My parents visited U T and they said it was too big... like 700 people in a lecture big. They thought I wouldn't survive / fail to make an impression / in such a big big university. I suppose both schools are similarly competitive for pre-med, because U T has the best med school in the country, and Wash U's med school is up there too.

If your friend is confident that he can survive amongst lots and lots of people, U T will definitely be a better choice. But, if he's like me and likes being helped and looked after and spoon fed, and he has enough $$$ maybe go for Wash U. Not saying they spoon feed you at Wash U, but more private attention maybe? :)
