I applied for the Summer Science program and i don't think that i was accepted. I thought I was a pretty good candidate (i did a 4 week "RIBS" program at the university of chicago), but i know they only accepted a small number of people. Did anyone get accepted? Can you tell me why you think you did?

I got accepted. What do you mean by you don't "think" you were accepted - did you check your application status site to find out for sure? Because that's where I found out, although I haven't yet received any mailings about it. As for why I think I was accepted, I did research programs the past two summers, but it's not like I won any major awards or anything...yup.

I got in as a Summer Scholar, and I honestly didn’t do that much research. The biggest thing I did was an IB extended essay on neuroscience (4,000 words), but that didn’t involve actual lab. Never got any major science fair awards. I did have a lot of hospital volunteer work though, mostly in a local ER.

You should get a letter in the mail, I got mine two weeks ago.
