I was just curious. Would anyone who knows about these schools be willing to compare them for me? They seem pretty similar, academically and geographically and the students who go there are similar it seems.

WOWWWWWWW, the Wash U board is dead compared to the other boards!!

And i got another question, I heard that Wash U about like 15 years ago was not even ranked in the top 30? Can someone plz explain if this is true?

Read this: http://news-info.wustl.edu/news/page/normal/607.html
WashU's rank has skyrocketed in the last 10 yrs or so because of its endownment and massive advertising campaign

WasU has great recruiting skills. This just proves that ranking really doesn't mean a thing. I mean could WashU seriously be worse 15 yrs ago than they are now? Personally I think all schools that are ranked above 20 offer basically the same academic and social opportunites. Personally, i like both Rice and WashU very much and I applied to both. However if you are asking which offer the better academic opportunites, I wuld say they offer about the same.

Yeah, I applied to WashU and Rice as well and would like to know the answer to Dog87's questions. I got into Rice, but want to see if I get into the other schools I applied to (like WashU) before I decide I absolutely want to go to Rice.
