Wash U vs. Carnegie Mellon

I plan on studying electrical engineering / computer engineering and I had gotten into CMU a while ago. I was set on CMU until I just heard from Wash U that I was accepted off of waitlist. Personally I find that I like the atmosphere at Wash U better and the diversity of the students, but CMU does have a better engineering program. Anyone have any thoughts? Pros? Cons? Thanks

CMU is way better for engineering and computer science

but go with wherever will make you happy, if you can't stand the culture at CMU (mostly techies aren't they?)

CMU is much better in Engineering. But if you prefer Washington U a great deal more, you should obviously go for Wash U. however, if you like Wash U only slightly more than CMU, I would recommend CMU.

And don't even take into consideration that WashU is higher ranked overall than CMU. This is mostly the result of manipulation.

CMU has a lot of techies, but don't forget it has some of the strongest art/drama programs around. You can be in engineering and still have lots of friends in architecture, foreign language, etc.

WashU is still a great place. Don't be fooled by misconceptions on either end.
