I recently took the SAT a second time and got the same score (1840), and was wondering if my extracurricular activities will be enough to compensate for it. I am in National Honor Society, National English Honor Society (president), National Latin Honor Society, Interact Club (a volunteer club), marching band, was in Odyssey of the Mind (worlds competition), and volunteer for a hospice in my free time. I am also in the top 5 of my class with a weighted GPA of 4.53 (I will graduate with 9 AP credits, getting 4s and 5s). Thanks for any input!

Hiya! I’d say that your ECs are solid, your GPA is great, and your AP scores are also very good. However, your SAT is significantly lower than what the rest of your “resumé” reflects. I’d really try and bump that to at least a 2000.

Oh, and are you from California by any chance? I used to live there and was also a part of Odyssey of the Mind as a kid but later moved to Georgia where Odyssey didn’t exist. I always thought it was a “Cali thing”. Maybe I’m wrong… Just curious!

Best of luck<3

Thanks! And I am from Virginia, but OM is everywhere, some schools don’t suppport teams though.
