<p>The Washington Monthly ranks UCLA as 3rd best national universities based on their contribution to the public good in social mobility, research, and service. Therefore their methodology is completely different than any of the other rankings (especially USNews) since it takes account on how universities is giving back to their communities. So instead of asking what a college could do for you, the rankings are based on, What are colleges doing for the country?
