Washington semester program

Has any one herad of thier semester programs. the tag line is 1* of seperation and there are like 8 in DC and 5 with extended trips. Are this any good???

When we were at the information session last week, my H asked about the Washington Semester Program, and the presenter said it is for students who go to other schools, to study in Washington DC through AU for a semester. I was a little confused by this.

The Washington Semester program is for students from other universities. Students who are accepted live on AU's Tenley campus for a semester, intern (for credit I believe), and take a few classes. They also host seminars and guest speakers for the participants. It is a pretty popular program for students at other schools who may not have the ability to get some first-hand internship experience due to georgraphical location, etc.

"The Washington Semester program is for students from other universities." -- TRUE! We were told by an AU tranfer counselor that students who attend the Washington Semester have to agree to return to their sending colleges for a semester before AU will consider a transfer admission...
so it's probably counter productive to consider using the Washington Semester as a way to get into AU...but it would give a student a "taste" of Washington DC, and an experience of AU
