@miamiangel1 extremely unlikely, WashU has little incentive to do so
You (might) be able to expect merit finalist decisions that day, if that applies to you
Maybe someday AI will speed up this process.

^which is how a lot of companies approach looking at resumes and determining who is interviewed. I would not look forward to that day as it’s possible to game things by putting in keywords.
Back to our regularly scheduled programming…ED2 results are supposed to be out sometime in the middle of February. And I think RD is going to be the second week of March, as that coincides with spring break.
@Hamurtle
ED II results are out Feb 15
RD results are out April 1

A friend who applied to WashU RD just got a snail mail letter from the financial aid office saying that they are happy he applied and want to help him as best they can (something like that). Did anyone else get that letter?
Yes! I received the same letter. What does that mean?
Have you Googled an exact quote from the letter to see if it’s a form letter that has been used in the past?
I would not put any stock in the financial aid office letter.
However if you receive a letter from a professor in a specific program of interest, that might be an indicator of possible admissions.
This seems like a big deal. Exciting that Washu is striving to become one of the tippy top schools for engineering.
About a week and a half left! They released ED1 decisions a couple days before December 15th, so here’s hoping they’ll do that for us next week.
@nerdmd the letter was sent to all RD applicants (probably ED II too but idk)
It has no significance other then that they received your app
Any chance they’ll post Rodriguez/Danforth/Ervin scholarship finalists on the same day (Feb 15th)?
Really hoping despite the slim chance
@garamxmasala, I suppose there’s a chance, but last year notifications were posted on March 1.
Good luck to you and everyone else!
Pressure is mounting. I’m not good at this. Really glad I have only one kid. And really glad it’s ALMOST OVER.
Good luck to everybody as we’re approaching the ED2 decision date. I’m glad the second kid in the family is only in 6th grade and doesn’t have to deal with this yet, although by then WashU might have a 5% acceptance rate and she gets no boost from big brother.
And the cost of attendance is $150k by the time she applies. ?
So will they send out an email ahead of time to let us know when notifications come out?
For scholarship finalists you will get a phone call.
I assume that for admissions it will be the usual email mentioning that the portal has been updated.
@ChicagoSportsFn great minds think alike. I was mentioning to my coworkers a few days ago that WashU tuition might be in the $150,000 a year range when the youngest starts college.
Never mind. Deleting my comment because @Hamurtle knows more than I do.
I hear you. D19 is headed to West Point which will help. D16’s cost of attendance of $75k at WashU is no joke!
